Reem froze in her place, she felt her heart beat in her ears.

Awkward silence filled the place, Ali kept on staring at Reem while she had her eyes on the floor, she used to say that Kuwait is small and now LONDON is small!

Ali left them standing and walked outside, Reem stood in her place without saying a word, she really couldn’t believe that the rude guy that saved her life yesterday was the sensitive person that she saw through his photographs and he was her best friends cousin!

Ali inhaled the smoke and leaned on the wall behind him, the cold winds of the night made him chill, he closed his eyes and remembered his house back home… how warm it was even on the coldest days.. he remembered his parents.. Ali remembered his mother's tears and his father's cold stare when he left.



Ali took a deep breath

Reem stepped out of the gallery and continued walking, she didn’t notice Ali standing.

Reem froze in her place and turned around and found Ali leaning on the wall and a big Smokey cloud around him.



"You're ready to go Miss Reem?"



Reem smiled at the driver: yes



Ali shook his head, Reem was walking to her car! He inhaled his cigarette for the last time threw it on the floor stepped on it and walked inside without looking at Reem.



She sighed and got in the car, she really didn’t know how to deal with him! She didn’t even know him!

Ali sighed and deleted the message, he threw himself on bed and closed his eyes.

Reem looked out of the window, a new store was being redecorated in front of her apartment, Reem put her hand on the window and smiled the weather was cold.



She was in the mood for a walk around the town, she grabbed her coat, scarf and walked outside, Reem stepped out of the building with a huge smile on her face, she loved the fact that she was freezing to death even with the jackets and coat!



Reem walked into the best bakery in west Hampstead "bake a boo"



She sniffed the smell of the freshly baked cupcakes.

Reem was walking back to her apartment when she noticed a man who was across the street he was talking on the phone he looked so furious his hands were moving all over the place, he was shaking his head with disagreement, he turned around and she saw his face.

Reem wanted to walk to her apartment then she decided to walk to Ali, she thought that they meet on the wrong foot maybe? She walked across the street and Ali walked inside a store.



Reem got in she looked around and didn’t find Ali, the store was still under constriction



"May I help you miss?"



Reem turned to her left and found a man standing.

"Yes he's in his office upstairs.. um ur a friend of his?"
