Lama parked her car and was walking outside when she heard someone calling her.

"Lama?"

Lama froze in her place, it was Barak's voice..she took a deep breath and turned around.

Lama: hala?

Barak: hala feech, shakhbarich?

Lama: bkhair el 7imdalllah inta shakhbarik?

Barak: bkhair allah ysalmich.. umm lama ma radaitolina khabar ib-

Barak felt that Lama was very nervous: 3adil kalamch

Both of them were silent for a second.

Barak: shnu so2alich?

Lama: hala?

Barak: so2alich?

Lama felt so nervous, what if there was a story behind him, a story that might make her refuse marrying him.

Lama: shkint tsawe ib America 6ool hal sneen?

Barak gave Lama a very short and straight forward answer.

Lama nodded her head.

Lama smiled, Barak walked to his car.. she waited for him to leave then she rushed to her car and went back home.

Lama felt that she made the right decision, Barak's family were her family, her brother might start a family soon and he'll be busy, and her grandmother is not getting any younger.

Both families gathered, Barak and Lama agreed on a lot of things.

Both families agreed that the party will be after three months, it will give the couple time to know each other well and it will give them time to prepare.

Lama put on her Elie Saab peach staples beaded dress, it looked perfect with her tanned skin and her short black wavy hair.

She really wished her mother would be with her in this day, la la ma ra7 abche wakharib mikyaje!!

"Lama khalastay?"

Lama turned around: ee khalti khalast

Mother: ya zeench mashallah tyanineen! Ya bakhatna feech!

Lama smiled: ana ele ya bakhti fekom wala

Shoug's mother giggled: yalla ana barid anzil!

Lama laughed: SHUKRAAN!

Lama and Shoug laughed,

Lama wore her nude heels, walked out of the room down stairs.

"LAMA!! Maskitich!!"

Lama laughed, she completely forgot about it, She took a deep breath and walked down stairs, the camera woman was taking pictures all the way down.

"Shoug golelha bas la t9awir bas!"

Shoug: osh bas osh o nizlay

Lama: ayshay anzaf youm 3irsi?

Shoug: smile o nizlaay yalla!

Lama walked while everyone stared at her, she was so nervous, she smiled and walked to the "kosha" were Mama Nora was standing with tears in her eyes.

She kissed her grandmother's forehead, and wiped away her tears.

Lama whispered in her grandmother's ear "giltlhom y7i6onlch samre!"

Mama Noura laughed: alf mabrouk 7abebte allah yhaneekom

Lama finally sat down.

Lama saw Shoug walking towards her she sat beside her, they took a couple of pictures.

Lama smiled: okay

Lama giggled.

Barak stood in front of the house, he was very nervous and Aziz felt it.

Aziz: bil mbarak  yal niseeba

Barak: allah ybarik feeek 3aziz!

Aziz: ma awa9eek 3ala Lama, tara mali ghairha bil dinya, min tiwafaw el walid wil walda wehya 3indkom derbalik 3alaiha!

Barak took a deep breath: la twa9ee 7aree9, Lama bi3yone o mani mga9ir wiyaha ib

Aziz smiled.

Barak looked at the door and Shoug was standing: yalla?

Barak: madri! Intaw golaw mita ndish!

Shoug: yalla ta3aal!

Shoug laughed: inta o Aziz o oboy!

Barak: okay, Aziz yalla!

Aziz: yalla wain? La yam3awad mani dash!

Barak laughed: laish khayif min el mara?

Aziz laughed: laa 7abeebe! Jidamik zilim maykhaf!

Lama felt the blood raising in her body, she couldn’t breathe, She looked down.

"Lama mama shofaay, raylich dash"

Lama looked up and saw Aziz, Barak and his father, Barak kissed his mother and Mama Noura and continued walking to Lama.

He kissed her forehead, Lama felt goose bumps from her head to her toes. Barak sat beside her.

"Imsik eedha, kahe omi yayba elshabka" Shoug whispered to him.

Barak looked at Lama: akhaf a3awrich

Lama giggled: as'hal shay el khatam, elbaje asa3dik feeh

Barak smiled: okay

Barak held the ring with his shriving hand and put it in Lama's finger hatha khala9na mina

His mother helped him with the rest. They took pictures with their families.

Barak held Lama's hand and they started walking, they walked up stairs.

Lama giggled: ufff ma baghait agoum! Ga3deen wekhizoone!

Barak smiled, Lama was herself with him already.

Barak: yalla badlay khanrou7 inta3asha

Lama: wain?

Barak: madri n7ous bil sayara lain nshof!

Lama and Barak sat down and they ordered.

They ate and talked about the most random things, both of them enjoyed each other's

 company.

Barak's heart sunk he really felt bad for keeping something from Lama.

Lama felt so insulted: okay?

Barak remained silent.

Lama felt like her world crashing, does Shoug know about this? Will she live with a man that is in love with another woman? Her divorce will be heartbreaking for her grandmother, she might even lose Shoug and her family, Barak is a perfect man but he's not in love with her and he might never be. Should she live with him and it will remain a secret between them? Or should she ask for a divorce?

Barak felt really bad for Lama, she was so perfect and pure hearted he couldn’t keep it away from her, he was willing to give her everything she wants and asks for, but he wasn’t willing to be her husband, he just wanted to take care of her and give her a home because he feels responsible now, it really broke his heart seeing her that sad.
